Ann Makosinski has invented a body-heat powered headlamp and torch which at 16 is amazing! Great to see young budding scientists out there!
A very inspirational story as the invention came as a solution to a problem faced by a teenager in the Philippines, who had failed her grades at school because she had no electricity at home at night and, therefore, couldn’t study.
I loved seeing her speak so eloquently about her invention and seeing her enthusiasm!
Mining is not mentioned in the article but I can see how it might come in handy in places where electricity is not abundant or the supply gets cut regularly.
