The kids clothes brand Jill and Jack Kids has recently launched a campaign to inspire the next generation of leaders to think beyond pink and blue. They want to achieve it by offering playtime-worthy clothes in fun, bright colours that change the messages we’re sending to kids.
It’s definitely time to move beyond pink and blue! It isn’t just clothing though: toys, magazines, tv programmes, music etc available to children are gender specific. Sadly through these, society and corporate businesses are imposing outdated gender ideas and behaviours onto delicate minds. More should be done to offer alternative/unisex products or to change the message
