The Australian Indigenous Women in Mining group (AIWIM) launched their website this week. Check it out –

AIWIM is a voluntary, not-for-profit group that promotes and supports Indigenous Australian women in the Mining and Resources sector.

Vision – Indigenous women are visible and successful in all facets of the resources industry.

Mission – To facilitate forums and professional development initiatives for Indigenous women in the resources industry.

  • Facilitate a culturally secure place to shine – place to belong, promote, mentor and coach Indigenous women.
  • Increase technical diversity – network Indigenous women to, through and within industry leading practice.
  • Overcome barriers, including cultural and organisational climate restraints – Indigenous women are empowered, out of our comfort zone and forwarding looking.
