Currently, we have an opening for a Production Manager at our Winnipeg facility. The Production Manager is responsible for the operational function and for ensuring the production area reaches its goals for safety, quality standards, optimizing efficiency and on time delivery within the set budget.

What you will be doing

  • Production Planning and Scheduling – develop and execute production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery timelines. Monitor inventory levelsCollaborate with procurement to ensure steady supply chain.
  • Leadership – supervise, mentor and lead production team. Set performance goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional development. Implement OKR’s to measure production performance and employee productivity.
  • Process Optimization and Quality Control – Evaluate and improve production processes to enhance efficiency. Ensure quality controls standards.
  • Cost Management and Continuous Improvement – Manage production budgets and expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness. Identify opportunities for cost-saving measures. Lead and support in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste and enhance production efficiency while maintaining quality.

What you will bring along

  • Previous leadership experience in production, manufacturing or assembly
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Ability to make functional analysis, solve problems and make decisions.
  • Commitment to fostering a safety culture.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Sandvik equipment and mechanical aptitude an asset
