Purpose of Role
The Maintenance Planner Supervisor supports Newton’s maintenance and reliability by leading planning specialists in material requisition, maintenance planning, and project coordination. Essential qualities include integrity, time-management, strong leadership, and proficiency in CMMS and purchasing practices. The role requires the ability to act independently, train and mentor others, and build strong relationships both internally and externally. Advanced knowledge of computer systems and CMMS is crucial. The ideal candidate should be approachable, respectful, and skilled in fostering effective collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
- CMMS Management and Development: Serve as onsite CMMS expert; develop and maintain work instructions, maintenance schedules, job packages, BOM, spare parts lists, and OEM manuals.
- Maintenance Planning and Coordination: Plan and prioritize maintenance tasks and shutdowns; coordinate with maintenance, storeroom, and purchasing for work and parts availability. Prepare job plans with safety instructions; utilize PDM results for planning.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with finance, procurement, and stores to process purchase requests and orders. Collaborate across departments to convert work requirements into actionable plans. Engage in work request approvals and weekly partner meetings.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain reports on maintenance records, compliance, work orders, labor, and costs. Develop technical documentation to support maintenance activities.
- Continuous Improvement and Compliance: Apply continuous improvement to maintenance processes and PM programs. Manage purchased services and ensure proper workflow through team interaction.
- Leadership and Management: Lead and motivate team members; manage direct reports with a focus on development and performance. Communicate effectively and foster a collaborative work environment. Promote safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Job Knowledge:
- 5+ years of relevant experience within the maintenance, procurement, and CMMS environments
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to provide direction and support to team members and other departments
Education and Qualifications:
- 5+ years previous experience in similar role.
- Previous experience with CMMS systems required
