Position Summary

 

The Demand & Supply Planning Manager will partner with Commercial Business, Sales, Supply Planning and Finance to develop a medium to long term forecast by customer using best in class processes and systems.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with Commercial Business and Sales teams to understand the business trends, strategy, and goals
  • Present Demand Plan to key stakeholders in a clear manner that reflects the data, decisions, key changes, and 18-month strategy of the division
  • Actively review process, inputs, outputs, and internal expectations for continuous improvement of the Demand portion of the S&OP process
  • Work with S&OP Analyst to automate and improve reporting tools
  • Work with SME to fully utilize SAP IBP planning capabilities
  • Lead the daily Forecast to Orders process and ensure completion of all capacity constrained items for review
  • Maintain master data, system alerts, and KPI’s

 

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, operations, mathematics, or a related field
  • S&OP Training, APICS Certification or IBF Certification a plus
  • 3 years of experience using MS Office applications (such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and/or Access)
  • 3 years of experience working within supply chain functions
  • 3 years of hands-on information gathering, analysis and management reporting
  • 3 years of hands-on experience with modeling, analysis, and simulations tools

  • Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate with business stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills, as well as the ability to perform in a command-and-control role under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands
  • Strong analytical, data-processing, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in process formulation and improvement
  • Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, multicultural business environment
  • Data gathering, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs.
