The Specialist, Integrated Planning, plays a pivotal role in both strategic business initiatives and short-term operational contributions, collaborating closely with stakeholders across IAMGOLD. This position is key to advancing best practices and driving initiatives that support IAMGOLD’s journey toward becoming an industry leader. As a core member of the Integrated Planning team, you will be responsible for ensuring a proactive and holistic approach to delivering accurate, reliable, and timely information to senior leadership, providing both short- and long-term visibility into site performance. Your contributions will directly impact decision-making, operational efficiency, risk management, transparency, and financial performance.
In this role, you will lead the coordination of IAMGOLD’s business planning cycle, ensuring that all deliverables are met and that sites are supported with reporting templates, scenario analysis, and performance evaluations. You will identify opportunities and risks in mine planning, support future growth and optimization studies, and contribute to the development of high-quality Life of Mine (LOM) plans, forecasts, and budgets. Your leadership will foster collaboration among operational managers, internal teams, and external stakeholders to optimize production efficiency and performance management.
As a champion of industry best practices, you will help standardize and improve mine planning processes, workflows, and systems, ensuring alignment from strategic to tactical planning. You will evaluate, test, and implement innovative mine planning tools, conduct quality control reviews, and develop short-interval control programs to enhance short-term planning and execution. Additionally, you will provide guidance to site-based mine planning teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
You will also play a key role in IAMGOLD’s technology project portfolio by tracking and reporting on advancements, facilitating initial evaluations of new operational technologies, and actively engaging in industry networks. Committed to safety, health, and environmental excellence, you will contribute to IAMGOLD’s Zero Carbon Emissions and Zero Harm goals by promoting a safe and sustainable work environment.
To excel in this role, you bring a post secondary education in Mine Engineering, Geology, or Metallurgy with mining-related experience, including tactical and strategic mine planning. Your expertise spans geological processes, mining methods, and mineral processing, with a strong ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across various locations. Experience in a large-scale mining company and project management is an asset. You are a collaborative leader who builds strong cross-functional relationships, demonstrates commitment to safety, and effectively navigates change. Your analytical skills, proficiency in mine planning systems, and ability to leverage emerging technologies set you apart. Fluency in English and French is required.
