The role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supply Manager to lead the operations and supply function for the GET & Buckets business based in Perth, WA. In this key role, you will be responsible for optimizing our supply network and value chain, ensure the right systems and processes are in place to secure consistency in the foundry production & quality processes to ensure continuity of supply of products for a global market.

As the Supply Manager, you will strategically manage supply scheduling and forecasting, actively identifying ways to improve the performance of our supply chain for our main products, namely GET, Buckets and Tubs. Your analytical expertise will enable you to analyse and report on supply and manufacturing data, ensuring informed decision-making. You will also prepare and monitor operation budgets and set forecasts for inventory levels to meet our business requirements. Overseeing operational quality control activities, you will uphold the highest manufacturing standards. Collaboration with our Sourcing team will be vital as you manage supply network relationships, actively seek potential new suppliers locally and internationally, and develop second line suppliers, particularly for foundry work.

Working closely with the logistics and distribution function, you will manage local and global inventory levels, plan and analyse inventory and purchasing requirements, and ensure optimum fill rates to balance inventory levels. Your role will also involve promptly addressing customer issues as they arise.
Areas of Responsability
  • Improve supply chain performance, including supplier selection and performance measurement.
  • Manage inventory, freight, warehouse, and distribution.
  • Develop and maintain supply network relationships, including sourcing and negotiation.
  • Oversee quality operations and ensure compliance.
  • Optimize procurement terms for timely and cost-effective materials.
  • Recruit, train, and manage supply chain and quality assurance staff.
  • Monitor production data, budgets, and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate internally in establishing the right parts inventory levels according to the market needs, with a healthy NWC development.
  • Enhance supply chain networks within GET & Buckets.
  • Maintain strong relationships with R&D, Engineering, and Product line teams.
  • Report on supply chain performance and propose risk mitigation actions.
Your profile

To excel in this role, you have at least 5 years’ experience in a supply and materials management role including the purchasing of technical products and materials. You have a business degree and qualifications in supply chain management. You are experienced in inventory management including forecasting, distribution planning, sourcing, and expediting and have a good understanding of manufacturing operations. Experience of the foundry and casting process and/or fabrication is a distinct advantage.

You are highly organised, and goal focussed and an excellent communicator. You are proactive by nature, and you have an eye for detail. As a business leader you have a strong track record for coaching and leading people to achieve success. As the organization is a global player, you naturally have well-developed English skills. As a role model to the business, you will demonstrate visible and proactive safety leadership.
