Eramine Sudamérica SA is a subsidiary of Eramet, a French global mining and metallurgical group. It is located in the Salar Centenario Ratones, 3,800 meters above sea level, in the department of Los Andes, in Salta, Argentina.

Exploration activities started 12 years ago and at the end of 2019 our pilot plant started operating, providing a demonstration of the quality of the final lithium carbonate product, with more than 90% direct extraction efficiency.

Deputy Project Director – Construction

Responsibilities : 
The tasks representing the major responsibilities of the position are as follows:
•    Establish the project implementation plan (schedule, necessary resources, contractual strategy, time to complete the different stages of the project, etc.)
•    Determine the budget and define and optimize the resources needed (human, technical, financial, etc.) to carry out the project
•    Coordinate the activity of the actors involved in the project (suppliers, subcontractors, etc.)
•    Constitute, lead and supervise the project team
•    Control and monitor the progress of the project and the respect of the contract in terms of deadline, budget, quality, safety and compliance with the Business Plan. This includes maintaining a final forecast on these dimensions that reflects the knowledge to date about the progress of the project
•    Ensure accurate and consistent reporting
•    Managing and anticipating risks
•    Alert the Steering Committee of any deviation from the Project Mandate and keep the other members of the project team informed
•    Manage change requests in a way that minimizes the impact on the project and ensures the stability of the scope
•    Manage relations with external stakeholders (customer, suppliers, partners, authorities, etc.)
•    Provide regular project updates and reports to the Project Director and other key stakeholders.
•    Address any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders promptly and effectively
–    Financial Management: Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to the project budget. Prepare financial reports and forecasts, identifying any potential cost overruns and implementing corrective actions.
–    Assist in securing additional funding or resources as needed to support project objectives.

About you: 
•    A master’s degree in engineering
•    Minimum of 10 years of experience in Industrial or Mining projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within middle or large-scale projects
•    Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. A PMP certification would be an asset.
•    Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
•    Fluent in English and Spanish

•    Good written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
