DESCRIPTION DU POSTE

ArcelorMittal Mines et infrastructure Canada est présentement à la recherche de Mécaniciens d’entretien pour la maintenance de ses équipements. Appelé à travailler avec l’équipe du concentrateur/concasseur, le titulaire du poste devra procéder à l’entretien général de tout le matériel mécanique en place.

Ce poste est basé à l’adresse suivante: 1000, route 389 Fermont (Québec) G0G 1J0 et ArcelorMittal Mines et Infrastructure offre un remboursement des coûts de transport et du déménagement.

Principales responsabilités

  • Vérifier les défectuosités du matériel telles que le mauvais alignement, l’usure, la lubrification insuffisante, etc.;
  • Déterminer la meilleure façon de réparer afin de réduire les arrêts de production;
  • Procéder au diagnostic et déterminer la marche à suivre du travail et effectuer les travaux d’entretien préventif;
  • Analyser, diagnostiquer et exécuter les tâches d’entretien de soudure, de plomberie, d’hydraulique, de pneumatique et d’automates;
  • Démonter, nettoyer, réparer, rénover, remplacer, installer, entretenir, assembler et lubrifier le matériel mécanique afin d’assurer un fonctionnement adéquat;
  • Exécuter son travail selon les méthodes prudentes de travail existantes.

Exigences

  • Détenir l’un de ces diplômes :
    • Diplôme d’études professionnelles en mécanique industrielle de construction et d’entretien;
    • Diplôme d’études collégiales en technologie de maintenance industrielle.
  • Diplôme d’études secondaires complété ou l’équivalent (un atout);
  • Détenir une expérience de plus de trois (3) ans en mécanique;
  • Expérience en hydraulique, en pneumatique, en automates et/ou en soudure;
  • Avoir de bonnes connaissances en informatique;
  • Avoir une attitude positive, être autonome et être un bon communicateur;
  • Aptitude démontrée pour le travailler en équipe et la SST.

Le salaire de base est déterminé selon le taux prévu à la convention collective en vigueur, soit 46,38$/h. Le salaire pourrait être bonifié par un ensemble d’avantages tels :

ArcelorMittal Mines and Infrastructure Canada is currently looking for Maintenance Mechanics to maintain its equipment. Called upon to work with the concentrator/crusher team, the incumbent will be required to carry out general maintenance of all mechanical equipment in place. 

This position is based at the following address: 1000, route 389 Fermont (Québec) G0G 1J0 and ArcelorMittal Mines and Infrastructure offers reimbursement for transportation and moving costs.

Main responsibilities

  • Check equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication, etc.;
  • Determine the best way to repair in order to reduce production stoppages;
  • Carry out the diagnosis and determine the procedure to follow and carry out preventive maintenance work;
  • Analyze, diagnose and perform welding, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics and automation maintenance tasks;
  • Disassemble, clean, repair, renovate, replace, install, maintain, assemble and lubricate mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation;
  • Carry out work according to existing prudent work methods.

Requirements

  • Hold one of these diplomas: 
    • Vocational studies diploma in industrial construction and maintenance mechanics;
    • College diploma in industrial maintenance technology.
  • Completed high school diploma or equivalent (an asset);
  • Have more than three (3) years of experience in mechanics;
  • Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, automation and/or welding;
  • Have good computer skills;
  • Have a positive attitude, be autonomous and be a good communicator;
  • Demonstrated ability for teamwork and OHS.

The base salary is determined according to the rate provided for in the collective agreement in force, i.e. $46.38/h. The salary could be enhanced by a set of benefits such as:

ABOUT THE TEAM
ArcelorMittal Liberia (AML) is operating inside Liberia since 2006, where we are employing approximately 1600 employees and about 1000 contractors mainly in the area of security as well as in transactional manual work like Bush cutting keeping the railway and our concession area free of natural overgrowth, as well as putting tarpaulins on the railcars etc.
In Liberia we are running operations, spread over three locations, our harbour, and our Main offices in Buchanan, and the Nimba region the mines, existing of multiple mining locations at Tokadeh, Gangar and Yuelliton and a Crushing plant and rail loading facility, serviced by our own accommodation settlement in Yekepa.
These locations are all connected with a 260 km Railroad, operated, and managed by AML, as per the MDA between ArcelorMittal and the government of Liberia.
Currently 5 mtpa iron ore (DSO -Direct Shipping Ore) are produced, which will be phased out in the next few years and replaced with Iron Ore Concentrate. The Phase 2 project aims to increase export of Iron Ore to 15 mtpa (concentrate). This was restarted end 2020 after it was put on hold in 2014 due to Ebola outbreak in. Significant civil construction work was already well advanced when the project was put on hold. Phase 2 of the project consist of an iron ore concentrator at the mine, rehabilitation and upgrade of Rail line, and a new iron ore bulk handling terminal in the port.
