Voices of Impact: A Year of Resilience and Recognition
In this year’s IDWIM theme, we focus on Recognition, honouring the innovation, stories, and leadership that have shaped, and continue to shape, this industry across generations and geographies. Highlighting the Resilience, the quiet strength, adaptability, and steady leadership that fuel progress across every layer of mining, from underground to the boardroom.
Voices of Impact is about connection and collective action. Shining a light on women in resources through a year-long campaign. It is a call-to-action for industry leaders, mentors, allies, and emerging talent to step forward, share space, and actively participate in a vision of generational sustainability, where leadership and opportunity are not limited by role, identity, or geography, but extended to everyone mining touches: from the workplace, to the communities surrounding mine sites, to the ecosystems we are responsible for protecting.
This campaign is unique because it bridges education, experience, and encouragement. It raises awareness not only to recognize what’s working, but to serve as a beacon for the next generation, inviting them to see the future of mining as something they can belong to, lead in, and reshape for the better.
Together, we are creating space for new voices, new conversations, and new ways of leading, building an industry that extracts responsibly and ensures the resources we depend on today will still be here for the children of tomorrow.
