Title: Global Account Manager – Mining Markets
Location: Global Role / English speaking
The Position
247Solar, Inc. is seeking a global sales lead to supply green energy to the mining industry by leveraging 247Solar Technologies. This position has the potential to grow into General Manager, Mining Division. This position reports to the CEO.
The Candidate Responsibilities
- Continuously update and improve 247Solar’s mining marketing and sales strategy and provide input to marketing and sales collateral and other support materials.
- As 247Solar’s lead mining rainmaker, sell 247Solar Solutions to the mining industry. Involves both selling systems as well as selling PPAs with mines through which customers purchase green energy from systems built, owned, and operated by 247Solar.
- Identify and focus on top 100 mining customers that best meet our criteria (research underway).
- Train and support 247Solar’s Regional Representatives to identify and qualify mining customer prospects and partner with the representatives to secure contracts with qualified customers.
What you need to bring
- Deep knowledge of the entire Global mining industry – locations, mines, owners, plant engineers, engineering firms, key influencers, and government agencies, as well as demonstrated participation in key mining industry conferences
- Deep technical and economic knowledge and understanding of the Global mining market including challenges and pressures, especially energy and ESG challenges, and also the incumbent energy systems and competitive green solutions and players
- Demonstrated experience and ability to engage with and sell systems-level solutions (e.g., energy) to mining plant managers and owners and to convince key influencers in multiple countries
- Command a high and respected profile in the mining industry; minimum 15 years experience
- Technical and/or energy sales experience; minimum 10 years experience
- Committed to the energy transition to renewables
- Ability to work autonomously in a small organization – e.g. self-directed but with strong communication skills to ensure alignment with CEO and other colleagues in the company
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally and a willingness to work with the latest video conferencing and team collaboration tools, as well as travel to the Washington DC area of the U.S. periodically.
Ideal Candidates Will Also Demonstrate
- Has demonstrated success and expertise in sales of technology and systems associated with energy solutions, including renewable energy (e.g., solar, wind), for the mining industry
- Has an engineering degree and/or equivalent technical background

Special Note for this position: As a team member of an early-stage company commercializing its technology, the salary portion of compensation may not meet large or publicly traded company levels. However, the base salary is competitive and you will be eligible to earn commissions on sales or rentals for which you are the primary business development person.
