We are in search of a highly motivated Junior Geologist (G.I.T.) to join our dynamic Exploration team on a one-year contract. In this role, you will be directly accountable for assigned exploration projects and special initiatives, collecting relevant geological information, executing exploration programs, and providing crucial technical assistance to team members.

Your responsibilities encompass conducting geological mapping, soil and rock sampling, core logging, outcrop stripping, channel sampling, prospecting, and other relevant surveys on assigned projects, advancing targets of merit. You will ensure accurate data entry into designated databases daily and regularly update databases, transferring all collected data to the server weekly. Additionally, you will provide preliminary conclusions and recommendations on completed work and execute assigned exploration projects efficiently, adhering to IMG and relevant safety and environmental standards. Contributing to various reports and delivering timely information for weekly and monthly reports.

In providing technical assistance to other members of the Exploration team, you will supervise and guide geotechnical staff, summer students, and geological assistants. This will involve reviewing safe work practices and reporting metrics for staff under your supervision. Clear communication of expectations to staff, with a focus on safety before production, is essential.
