The 13th year celebration, will feature women from around the world who have made visible contributions above and beyond their daily responsibilities in the mining industry.
ITC is proud to host the 13th Annual Women in Mining Conference and Career Expo on 23, 24 & 25 February 2022 at Indaba Hotel, Fourways.
There have been impressive strides made in gender parity within the mining industry over the past 13 years. Women have been promoted into key positions and have made a difference in eradicating challenges faced within mining. With mines moving towards a more technologically savvy mining industry, it’s very important for organisations to upskill their workforce to work alongside technology.
While this is the case, women are still underrepresented at all levels within mining companies. Yet opportunities remain for the industry to boost female recruitment, retention, and advancement. There are still some stereotypical barriers that need to be eradicated; it is important to note that women have made a recognisable difference in changing the face of the mining industry.
