Managing your most important resource: the science of mindfulness
Women in Resources SA is pleased to welcome clinical psychologist and internationally-recognised expert in mindfulness, Dr Richard Chambers, to Adelaide for a networking event and keynote presentation on the science of mindfulness.
Based on the research and brain science behind mindfulness, Richard will explore how practising and applying mindfulness leads to improved wellbeing, better work performance and improved relationships. In this engaging session in the WinRSA wellness series, Richard will lead us through a series of attention training exercises, applications and cognitive strategies to help you be more present and effective in your personal and professional lives, including:
- Reducing stress,
- Improving mental health and resilience,
- Achieving better performance through unitasking and eliminating distractions,
- Managing the use of technology,
- Improving communication and empathy, as well as
- Enhancing emotional intelligence and leadership skills.
Richard helped create the Smiling Mind app, has appeared on ABC TV’s Catalyst and given a popular TEDx talk on the role of mindfulness in education. It will be an event not to be missed.
