Factors Linked to the well-being of Fly-In-Fly-Out (FIFO) workers, September 2013
This report contains the findings from a research project aiming to identify factors linked to the retention and well-being of FIFO workers in the resources sector.
The study included a survey of 286 FIFO workers currently employed in the resources sector in Australia. This study is quite unique for the sector in that 70% of respondents held a university degree and 40% were female. The study confirms previous research findings into FIFO work forces and also provides unique insights into the challenges that managerial workers face.
