WIMWA / Unearthed

Invitation to Unearthed Perth Hackathon

WIMWA members are invited to join us at Unearthed Perth in CORE Innovation Hub from 19 to 21 May. The event will be the fourth Unearthed hackathon in Perth since the inaugural event in 2014, and will feature challenges from Newcrest Mining and South32. There are cash prizes up for grabs, with 1st prize winners having the opportunity to present alongside senior level executives from mining companies, METS, government and research organisations at the biennial Austmine Conference 2017.

To find out more about the Hackathon, head down to our Info Session on Wednesday 10th May at CORE from 5pm. You will hear more about the challenges and have a chance to start forming teams ahead of the main event. We encourage people from all disciplines to take part and form teams with diverse skill sets. We will be awarding 5 free tickets to the Hackathon at this session!

Think you’re ready for entrepreneurship, or have a technology solution potentially ready for commercialisation? The hackathon will provide opportunities to apply directly to the Unearthed Accelerator Program, a program where ten companies are given access to seed funding, amazing industry mentors, one-on-one sessions with business experts, and more.
