At one time or other, all companies will experience a crisis that requires multiple skill-sets to effectively reach a resolution. Gone are the days when riding it out or keeping one’s head down is an acceptable approach to dealing with a crisis – whether corruption, financial, community or security related etc. Stakeholders, equity investors, financiers, commercial counterparties and the general public expect more.
So what does ‘good’ crisis management look like? Who should be involved, how can one prepare and what are tried and tested ways for managing large scale issues that will keep both the company’s reputation intact and demonstrate best practices.
WIM in association with Shearman & Sterling would like to invite you to a discussion in which we address these questions and provide solutions as we work through a crisis scenario from a variety of perspectives. The panel will discuss tried and tested strategies for seeking appropriate resolution and invite the audience to share experiences and viewpoints.
Our panel will include:
Jo Rickard – Partner – Litigation, Shearman & Sterling (as Moderator)
Cynthia Urda Kassis – Co-Head of Mining & Metals, Shearman & Sterling
Stephen Withnell – Goldman Sachs
Grant Ringhshaw – Executive Director, Citigate
